Update: Found that the mechanism was frozen in various areas due to old, dried grease. The owner did not want to do a full overhaul on the machine. So I sprayed WD-40 everywhere to free up the mechanism. Then went back over with a high-quality gun oil for lubrication. Tested, and works and pays as it should.
