Album - 1929 Mills Mint FOK Vendor Slot Machine

This is one of our latest acquisitions, and it’s about to receive a comprehensive overhaul. I really appreciate the authentic patina, so I’ve decided to keep its character intact, no full restoration, just a thorough cleaning and refurbishment to ensure it functions perfectly.

Update: The machine has been fully disassembled and is now soaking in a parts cleaner overnight. It’s just been removed from the cleaner, and now begins the detailed process of wire brushing. I’ll be using a wire brush, a pick as a scraper, and WD-40 to clean and loosen grime throughout. While this machine could certainly be a candidate for a full restoration, my goal is to bring it back to like-new working condition while preserving its original charm (it's only original once)

The handle and its components look worn and have had some repairs over the years, but they still work. I will add a new rubber stopper and grease where appropriate. Fake Mint rolls have been made and look great! To see the final machine, click here.
